Dr. Dixon's Retirement Follow-up Letter:

Occasionally I have been asked my opinion of Dr. Mayes now that I’ve had a chance to work side by side with her.  It dawned on me that some of you may have the same question. 

Each day I am more convinced that Dr. Mayes is absolutely the best person to replace me.  There is no doubt I am leaving you in excellent care; the type of care that I have given you and I want for my family.    I remain impressed with her dental expertise and technical ability, as well as her attention to detail.  I am also extremely impressed with her compassion and ability to relate to people as individuals.

Over and over I am hearing from patients about how great their experience has been under the care of Dr. Mayes.  She and the staff have bonded well, and they are excited about her patient care and proficiency.  She has a strong desire to take the practice in a direction that I would be taking it if I were in her shoes, and I find this exciting.

After I decided it was time for me to retire, the most important decision I had to make was finding someone who would care for my family of patients and staff as much as I do.  I have peace of mind as I transition into retirement because I have been successful in finding that person.  If you have not already met Dr. Mayes, get ready..she’s a wonderful person who will continue to take great care of you and your oral health.  I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice of a successor!
